Skill Development

In today’s competitive world, formal education alone doesn’t assure employment but skill does. The children are provided vocational training like computer literacy and taught various handicrafts like stitching, embroidery, paper mache, painting and jewellery making to enable them to earn a living in the future. In 2019-20, 15 students were trained in various skills.
Computer Literacy
Yamaha Motors, Greater Noida, provided 25 computers to the Trust. While all the children get an exposure to computers, those interested are provided a three months certified training course.
Computer literacy classes are organised at Apna Ghar. There are two teachers to train the students.

Sales and Marketing
A small space has been hired at the nearby Omaxe Mall where the older children are provided practical training in sales and marketing of their own products. The children have gained the basic knowledge of procurement, costing, quality control and the skill of dealing with customers in the process.
